To help support our experiences, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Manager. The successful candidate will oversee the execution of our production, ensuring seamless operations in their respective region

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage schedules of the local production crew.
  • Plan and oversee load-ins, set-ups, tear-downs, and load-outs with the Technical Director.
  • Assist in transportation/logistics sourcing and negotiation.
  • Lead and manage local crew of technicians, communicating schedules, responsibilities, and addressing any personnel issues throughout the project.
  • Take proactive measures to address any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Ensure all productions are executed to the highest standards, maintaining the artistic integrity and vision of VIBRANT Studios.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during performances.
  • Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed during the tour, including compliance with local regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to protect the team and audience.
  • Provide regular updates to the technical director and any issues encountered.
  • Oversee the technical aspects of the experience.
  • Address and resolve technical issues as they arise.
  • Plan and manage the logistics of loading equipment in and out of venues.
  • Handle the technical aspects of the experience.
  • Prepare technical setups in advance at other venues, including transportation, ATA carnet (temporary export documentation), permits, and equipment maintenance (always with support from production and creative studio).
  • Help Front-of-House Tour manager with customer service.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management, preferably in touring or live events.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Theater Production, Event Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with immersive and interactive experiences.
  • Proven experience in a front-of-house management role, with at least 4-6 years’ experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Track record of managing large-scale productions and teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of production and technical equipment used in live events.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in live event production.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong at team management with the ability to oversee and motivate staff effectively.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across North America for the duration of the tour.
  • Valid passport and driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment as needed.
  • Capacity to work long hours, including nights and weekends.
